A successful mixture of home decorating patterns, colors, and textures will result in a balanced and beautiful room. If you are starting with a color, your samples might include fabric, paint chips, wallpaper, carpet, wood, stone, and tile.
If you do the walls gold you can focus the furniture in a nice dark brown. You’ll probably want to use brown and maybe black accents through out the room. I would also suggest using a beige carpet to contrast the furniture and allow you the option of using darker colored runners. You can find “crazy” lamps almost anywhere, I would suggest trying places like Walmart and target first because it will be cheaper but if you don’t find anything there you can try some home-decorating stores. And the internet is always your friend! A lot of stuff you can find for cheap through amazon and similar sites.
