how do you market remodeling business?

I have been doing construction for many years framing houses for builders,remodeling and repairs for homeowners,room additions.Most of my work comes from referals from satisfied customers.I tried the yellow pages, but it is expensive and most of the calls you get are a waste of time.Now there are so many illegal mexicans doing construction that jobs are getting even more scarce.how can I stand out in the crowd and get more work?
