If you want to save a lot of money and time, I suggest one of the following. Hire design professional, for 200 to 300 hundred bucks, or purchase 11″X17″ Grid paper (1/4″ scale) and just do pencil elevation drawings. Cheap design programs, under $300, are more trouble than they are worth, and the learning curve is long and slow. The colors aren’t very true and neither are the textures. I say, architecture ruler,. 1/4 scale paper, and a pencil……..$30
