Are you talking inside or outside?
trim or main part of house
roof or walls floor or patio
rec room, kitchen, den, downstairs, upstairs, chimney or fireplace…so many questions, so little answers

You should use what ever is close to your home. The cost of many choices doesn’t always reflect the true cost to the environment. As pointed out by several other posts here, you are not giving enough info about your use to get a very good answer…
